“Acupuncture: The Ancient Chinese Art of Healing” is a book written by Felix Mann, first published in 1962. In this work, Mann explores acupuncture, an ancient Chinese therapeutic practice, aiming to explain its mechanisms from a scientific perspective, addressing the neurophysiological principles involved. The book is intended for both laypeople and healthcare professionals, illustrating the concepts with clinical cases of patients treated by the author in England.

Felix Mann (1931–2014) was a German-born physician based in the UK, recognized as one of the leading Western practitioners of acupuncture. He founded and chaired the Medical Acupuncture Society between 1959 and 1980 and was the first president of the British Medical Acupuncture Society in 1980. Mann pioneered the introduction of acupuncture to the Western world and authored several works on the subject. Throughout his career, he moved away from traditional beliefs in the existence of acupuncture points and meridians, proposing a more scientific and less dogmatic approach to the practice.
